We commence our web feature of a fellow BVRC member by saying goodbye to Bob Femrite, KØSNG.
Bob and XYL Jeanne have been an integral part of Bella Vista for 13 years, and are moving to the Killeen TX area to be closer to family.   KØSNG was the last president of the Bella Vista Repeater Group, prior to the Club changing its name two years ago.   Bob was licensed in 1958 at the age of 14, and was the first ham in Howard Lake, MN.   He credits ham radio for an lifelong career in electronics.   First serving in southern Germany as an Army radar tech, operating a TV & Appliance store, and then many years in government electronics with the aeronautics and space industry.
For our Club, Bob organized several highly successful and enjoyable Field Day operations, plus several public service and special event operations over the years.   He is a fan of Hexbeam antennas and enjoys working many different modes, including phone, digital, CW, and for many years was the Net Control Station on the local 147.255 FM repeater.
73, farewell and Godspeed, Bob and Jeanne. You will be greatly missed!
